How can hair loss end when spring comes?

featured

The problem of hair loss increases, especially in the spring and autumn months of all of us, male or female. There may be many different reasons for this problem, which we experience during seasonal transitions, mainly in April, May and June. The change in the secretion of hormones in the spring and the fact that the testosterone hormone is generally higher in the spring and autumn brings about a seasonal relationship between hair loss and hormones. In addition, starting to see the sun more during the seasonal transitions and humidification of the air can cause the hair follicles to become tired and thin. The resting phase, which follows the growth periods of the hair, lasts for about 2-3 months and the hair follicles that complete the resting phase begin to shed, usually coinciding with the seasonal transitions.

In addition to these reasons, it is also worth remembering that diets made especially in spring and summer months and sometimes spring fatigue can change the balance in our body and cause energy and mineral loss. As you can see, while there are so many reasons, it is quite normal to be confused as to whether the shedding is really due to the change of seasons or is it caused by another problem…

If the shedding exceeds 2 weeks, you should contact a specialist.

Studies show that hair is lost between 50 and 100 strands during the day with factors such as washing, combing, pulling and breaking. We accept this rate as normal in a healthy person. In addition, we see seasonal hair loss, which usually lasts for 1-2 weeks, as a very normal situation. However, if the hair loss period, which is thought to be related to the change of seasons, has exceeded 2 weeks, you should definitely consult a specialist.

Before suggesting solutions for hair loss caused by seasonal reasons, including other hair mesotherapy, I would like to talk about hair loss, which we call Telogen Effluvium.

Beware of Telogen Effluvium

On average, about 85% to 90% of a person’s hair follicles are actively growing (anagen phase) while other hair follicles are resting (telogen phase). A hair stays in the anagen phase for 2-4 years, then enters the telogen phase, rests for about 2-4 months and falls out. New growing hair replaces the shed hair. In a person with Telogen Effluvium, certain body changes or shocks push more hair into the telogen phase. Typically in this case, about 30% of the hairs stop growing and go into a resting phase before shedding. So if you have Telogen Effluvium, you can lose an average of 300 hairs a day instead of 100. If the period is shorter than 6 months, this condition is called acute Telogen Effluvium, and if it is longer than 6 months, it is called chronic Telogen Effluvium. Telogen Effluvium has various causes:

1) May be seasonal. It may shed more than normal, especially in spring.

2) The drugs we are using; antidepressants, hormonal pills can cause hair loss.

3) Some chronic diseases we have; thyroid disorder and anemia can trigger hair loss.

4) Stress is one of the important factors that cause our hair to fall out. Generally, three or four months after the stressful events we experience, we can see an intense shedding in our hair.

5) Hair loss three or four months after pregnancy is physiological. Sometimes this process can take longer. It would be appropriate to treat it before it becomes chronic.

6) Genetic factors have an important role in hair loss, family history is very important here.

Blood analysis and personalized treatment are very important for hair loss.

People who complain about hair loss should definitely do blood analysis and investigate whether there is a disease that triggers it. Iron, biotin, vitamin B12, folic acid, vitamin D, zinc and thyroid hormones are important substances for our hair, and their deficiency should be taken care of. First of all, the missing substances in our body must be replaced. If there is an underlying disease, it must be treated. Vitamin therapy for the cause, hormonal drugs or lotions that can be applied to the hair are the main treatment alternatives we use.

In addition, the application of various vitamins called Mesotherapy into the skin will give very good results. Platelet-rich plasma application is another form of treatment that gives good results in hair loss. Treatment may be at intervals of two or four weeks. Depending on the structure of the hair, the sessions may vary as 3 or 6 sessions. Continuation of efficacy is ensured with maintenance treatment every 6 months.

Hair gets a lively and shiny appearance with hair mesotherapy

Hair mesotherapy is the method of directly injecting vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and circulatory-regulating substances, which are necessary for the healthy growth and development of the hair, to the scalp with micro needles. It can be easily applied to both men and women. The products are injected into the scalp at approximately 1 cm intervals. Anesthetic cream can be applied before the procedure, so that intense pain and pain are not felt during the application. Before the procedure, the scalp is cleaned with an antiseptic solution, so the hair will be wet at the end of the procedure. It is appropriate not to wash the hair for at least 8 hours. Therefore, if there is a meeting or invitation plan, it is not appropriate to apply that day.

The frequency of application may vary according to the intensity of the person’s complaint. Hair mesotherapy should be done as 6-8 sessions with an average of 15 days apart. Hair mesotherapy can be applied as a cure every year. Sometimes, treatment can be continued in the form of monthly support. In this way, hair loss is stopped and new stronger hair is provided. From the first session of hair mesotherapy, a difference can be felt, and the hair can regain its old, lively and shiny appearance. Hair mesotherapy stops hair loss. It makes thinning, miniaturized hair thicker. It is not possible to regrow hair in the completely bald area.

Nourish your hair from within.

It is necessary to be fed with foods rich in keratin and vitamins, and to increase the intake of vitamin E, folic acid, vitamins A and C, niacin and biotin, which are especially beneficial for hair. Vitamins useful for hair can also be taken with the help of food supplements and vitamin complexes. With the help of these and similar methods, it can be ensured that the hair is fed from the inside, making them much stronger and resistant to shedding. In order to prevent seasonal shedding, intensifying your care treatments during this period, ensuring that the hair is nourished from the outside with nourishing oils will reduce hair loss.
