What is a temple filler?

featured

The area extending from the sides of the eye area to the edge of the ear is called the temple. Temporal wrinkles, also known as crow’s feet, appear in older people. The biggest reason for this is the thinning of the skin tissue in this area and the overlap of the skin with gravity. Thus, various forms of wrinkles and depressions occur. It is possible to restore the volume loss experienced here. If the volume loss experienced is compensated with temple filling, depressions and wrinkles are removed, and signs of aging are eliminated.

Thanks to our facial muscles, we make many voluntary or involuntary movements around the eyes during the day. In the face of these movements, our skin becomes sensitive and thinner over time and there is a loss of volume under the skin. Thanks to the temple filling application, a younger appearance is gained than before.

The fillers applied to add volume with temple filling are separate for wrinkles and for depressions. The filling material applied for wrinkles is called thin filling, and the one applied for depressions is called thick filling. It is recommended to stay away from blood-thinning foods before the temple filling procedure. Local anesthesia is applied while the temple filling is applied. In this way, the procedure can be completed with very little pain. The process takes about half an hour. Swelling may occur for about 48 hours after the procedure. It is recommended not to do sports for about 1 week and not to contact with extreme heat or cold. The effect of temple filling lasts about 1 year. After 1 year, the filling begins to lose its function and the application may need to be repeated.
