What is Micro-needling?

How is Micro-needling applied?
It can be applied by using various devices and rollers. There are different number of needles such as 6-12-24-36 on the roller. Local anesthetic cream is applied approximately 20 minutes before the application process. By this means, no pain is felt. When applied on the skin, 250-400 micro channels are opened in each cm2 area. Following the application of micro-needling, special medicines to be determined by the medical doctor may be applied on the skin.
Although the micro channels opened by the needles are not seen as wounds in appearance, they are perceived as wounds by the skin. Even such micro channels disappear within 15 minutes without causing any scar, a wound repair mechanism is triggered inside the skin.
For which complaints is Micro-needling applied?
This repair process causes anti-aging effect on the skin and supports the removal of the fine wrinkles and lines on the skin.
At the same time, it helps to fill the acne scars and removal of fibrous bands below the skin’s surface.
A wound repair mechanism begins immediately after the occurrence of wound/scar tissue and may continue up to 6 months. Typically, the results become visibly obvious within 2 months.
